Fatal Risk Control Standards

Fatal Risk Control Standards (FRCS) were developed for Power and Water Corporation (Power and Water), in the Northern Territory consistent with Power and Waters’ highest priority of protecting the health and safety of their employees, contractors, visitors, and the general public.

The Power and Water Fatal Risk Control Standards (FRCS) define a set of mandatory standards and minimum performance requirements for twelve fatal risk activities under three operational areas:

  • system and procedures;
  • plant and equipment; and
  • people

The Fatal Risk Control Standards (FRCS) were developed from consultation with operational, technical specialists, and subject matter experts across Power and Water via several highly consultative bowtie risk management workshops.
